No Visa Required (NVR)

Foreign nationals of Bangladesh origin (except SAARC countries) are eligible for endorsement of “No Visa Required to Travel to Bangladesh” stamp on their foreign passports. Their spouses (foreign national) and children are also eligible for such endorsement.

Endorsement of NVR allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport.

Basic Documents Required for all NVR applicants:

1. Filled-in online application form
2. Original Foreign Passport (having validity for at least 6 months or over) on which NVR endorsement is desired;
3. Dual Citizenship Certificate/ Bangladesh National ID and Last Bangladeshi Passport
4. Police Clearance Certificate
5. Marriage Certificate (for spouses)
6. Two copies of recent photographs of the applicant.
   • Passport Size (2 inch X 2 inch / 25 mm X 35 mm)
   • White colour background
   • Taken within six months

7. One full set of photocopies of all original documents (relevant pages);

Additional Documents required

a: Reissuance of “No Visa Required” stamp to a new passport

– In addition to the aforementioned documents, recently expired original Foreign passport

b. For a child born abroad

– Original Bangladesh passport and Bangladesh NID of any of the parents (valid or expired)

c. In case of spouse (Foreign National) of a Bangladesh National

– Original marriage certificate and a photocopy; and
– Original Bangladesh passport (valid or expired) of the spouse and Bangladesh National ID

• The Embassy of Bangladesh reserves the right to request for any additional document at any stage of the application process;
• The Embassy of Bangladesh reserves the right to withhold any application for further scrutiny.
